- Check our list of 2008 participants to see if they've already signed up.
- Ask the manager or owner if they'd be interested in participating in our event: 20% on Thursday, September 18.

We have negotiated with publishers to receive deep discounts on books. Therefore, your cash contribution goes even further toward preventing illiteracy. Here's three easy and safe ways:
Pair your favorite wine and (kids') read -- the Stinky Cheese Man, perhaps? Donate a new book to give a kid in need the chance to read!

Last year, 375 volunteers spent 3,000 hours sorting/packing books, reading to children, preparing bulk mailings, organizing book drives, designing our web site, and updating our database. We are happy to work with individuals or with groups of volunteers on a regular or occasional basis.
